Do-It-Yourselfers -- Build Your Own 3D Printer!
Learn all about running or building your own printer! This class will prepare you for building, maintaining, upgrading, repairing, and running your very own 3D printer.
Also note there is a lot of overlap between this and Advanced 3d printing. This class will also grant access to the more advanced printers at Hacker Lab.
Please note: We changed the times on this class to earlier, to allow a little extra time in case it goes over.
About this Class
Learn everything you need to know about owning and/or building your very own 3D Printer:
– The basics of building and running 3D printers
– How to assemble a 3D printer from a kit, or building your own.
– Learn how to design or process parts for printing.
– Tips and tricks on purchasing parts and materials.
– A comparison of the available software.
At the end of the class, we are going to spend some time talking about the details of owning a 3D printer. Things like maintenance, upgrades, and where to purchase parts.
Basic 3d printing experience recommended but not required

About the Instructor
Zak Kazee is a Sierra College student. He is currently studying Mechatronics. He has a fair amount of 3D printer experience, and is really knowledgeable about tearing them apart and making them work again. He’s looking forward to sharing his knowledge and skills with you!
