  • Copy/Paste This Email Template to Get Your Company to Pay for your Facebook Ads Training

    nature-walk

You know what’s better than the training you will receive from the Full-Funnel Facebook Ads Boot Camp? Getting that training for free.

That’s right—if you work for a company that’s using Facebook ads and you think you can do better, getting your boss to pay for your training is the best solution. But not every employer is willing to shell out $500 for your training—not until you convince them!

I can be hard to ask for something like this, which is why I’m going to make it easy for you.

A well-thought out, organized, and benefits first email is the way to go. So here, copy and paste the email template below to send to your boss or manager.

Subject: Request for Facebook advertising training ($500)

    Hi [boss name],

I came across this Facebook advertising course in Sacramento that I’d like to attend. It’s a 5-week course hosted after hours at the Hacker Lab coworking space. The cost is $500, and I’m writing today to ask you to cover the cost.

Here’s what I think it can do for our company:

    • -> Provide transparent ROI for our Facebook ad campaigns – The instructor is very clear that this is a direct response training—he plans to show us how to create ad campaigns where we can attribute the ad budget directly to our [sales, lead gen] goals.
    • -> We get to bring our own business goals – This isn’t a ‘once-size-fits-all’ training— I’m actually supposed to bring our unique business challenges for individualized coaching and strategy. We can even discuss what you’d like to get from this, if you’d like.
    • -> I’ll do this on my own time – The training is a series of five 9-minute sessions (and lots of virtual ‘homework’) that’s hosted at 6:30PM once a week. I’m not asking for overtime so this won’t use up any company time.
    • -> It’s cheaper than hiring a consultant – The average cost of hiring an expert to manage your Facebook ads is more than $500 per month. By having this expertise in-house, the training will pay for itself in a couple months.

By adding this skill, I think I can really improve our company’s performance on social media. Thank you for your consideration—let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss.

    Best regards,
    [You Name]

P.S. The training is limited to 10 seats, so if you want to do this please let me know ASAP! Thanks again!

Of course, feel free to edit/omit anything you need.

And don’t forget—beyond improving operations at your company, you might even be able to leverage this new skill into a raise in the near future!

  • 3 Ways to Justify Spending $500 on Facebook Ads Training

    train-people-well-enough-so-they-can-leave-treat-them-well-enough-so-they-dont-want-t

I’m the biggest cheapskate I’ve ever met.

I make my coffee at home and bring a thermos, I use the grocery circulars, and yes—I have no issue asking the restaurant to split the check.

But, I’ve spent more than $4,000 in 2017 (it’s only half over!) on professional development and training. If that seems out of character after reading the previous paragraph, it’s not.

That’s because the money on spent on training is an investment—I’ve already earned more than the cost of the training by landing bigger clients, offering new services, and streamlining my processes. If I can spend a dollar and make $2 back, I’ll do that every day.

My new course, Full-Funnel Facebook Ads Boot Camp, is $500. Maybe that doesn’t seem like much to you, maybe it seems like a lot—my point is, it doesn’t matter as long as you get more than $500 of value from it.

Here’s how I think you can do that.

    1. You’ll waste way more than $500 on Facebook ads if you don’t know what you’re doing

I have a long-standing beef with the “Boost Post” button on Facebook—I think it’s a waste of money and I’d never use this tactic for any of my clients. Once you know the advanced features of Facebook ads and are tracking your ROI, you probably won’t use it either.

But a lot of people do use that button. How many? Let’s look at the numbers:

    • -> There are 65 million business pages on Facebook
    • -> 75% of those businesses report “promoting” the posts on their business pages
    • -> 75% of 65 million is 487,500,000—almost half a million businesses are using Facebook ads, likely not to their full potential

It’s really easy to blow $500 on Facebook ads—if you boost 25 posts at $20 a pop, you’re out of budget in probably less than 2 months.

    2. $500 is less than one month in agency fees in Facebook ads management

I’m not sure what everybody else charges, but my monthly fee for managing Facebook ads is over $500.

But for round numbers, let’s say for $500 you get one month of Facebook ads management. When that’s month is over, it’s either $500 for the next month, or stop paying for the service—and therefore, stop getting results.

Most service providers aren’t going to give you all their secrets for getting results. The fact that they have the knowledge and you don’t is their value proposition.

What I’m saying is—learn to do it yourself!

Extrapolate a year’s worth of Facebook ad management fees at $500/month and you’re paying $6,000/year. Or, pay $500 now to learn how to do if yourself and save $5,500.

    3. It’s a 2 for 1—Learn Facebook ads AND digital marketing funnels

This course is actually not just about Facebook ads. That’s because Facebook ads don’t work in a vacuum and you need to understand how they interact with other digital assets (websites, landing pages, blog posts) in order to get the results you want.

So you’re actually getting instruction on how all the skills and techniques you need to build an entire digital marketing funnel fueled by Facebook ads that delivers sales or leads to your business.
